What is excess hair?

Unwanted facial and body hair is referred as excess hair. For some people, excess hair excess hair, causing them to feel embarrassed, distressed and difficult to manage.

 

Excess hair is a problem particularly for women who suffer from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). In some cases, excess hair may be hereditary. This is often the case with those who are South East Asian, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean.

Many people tend to opt for short term solutions, such as shaving, which can often leave the skin feeling irritated and sensitive. The chances of having in grown hair after shaving is a lot higher than alternative hair removal solutions.

 

Others tend to have their unwanted hair waxed, plucked or threaded. These methods can reduce hair growth, only if it is performed regularly. However, these treatments can cause inflammation of the hair follicles, commonly referred to as folliculitis.
